Welcome to Delano Intermediate School!
My name is Katie Thompson, and the 23-24 school year marks my third year as Principal at DIS. In total, this is my tenth year in school administration. I am thrilled to once again be leading this community of amazing students, families and staff!
At DIS, we believe all students can experience growth and success in the school setting. We have a dedicated and experienced staff committed to making that success happen. I invite parents and families to join us in encouraging and supporting your students to work hard toward their goals.
During the intermediate school years, we see tremendous growth in our students both developmentally and academically. We also see tremendous growth in social and emotional areas. As a staff we are here to support students and families in all of these areas.
